Jacos Farinas yawned, as he awoke. After quickly getting dressed into a fine linen shirt and trousers, as well as his leather shoes, he headed downstairs, to relieve the assistant he hired to mind the inn during the night.

Jacos was a human inkeeper, who was 35. He had bought the inn at 28, when he had decided he would stop risking his life with silly adventures, and settle down.

He sent the assistant to put some logs of wood in the fireplace, as he looked out the window. It was a wet, rainy day for the town of Bravis, a town in Middle Earth. He went back to the counter, and gazed around his inn, which he had been owning for seven years.

It was a fine place, the house had been made out of smooth bricks, with finely crafted wooden supporters. There was a large firepit, with several chairs around it near one end, with a table with a few chairs dotted around it near it.

On the other side of the room was the counter where Jacos sit, serving drinks and renting out rooms to people. Near it was a bear skin rug, with a few chairs dotted around it. On the walls were trophies and acheivements of Jacos: Mounted heads of monsters and animals, finely crafted trinkets, blades and shields, and other things that were somewhat interesting.
By the counter, there were beer kegs stacked up, shelfs and cuboards filled with food and other things.

Jacos started polishing some ale tankards, as he waited for some customers to come in...

(( Okay! Lets have some good, clean RolePlaying here! Don't randomly start fights, unless you're Really drunk, don't get Really drunk unless you're drunk, and don't get drunk unless you're tipysy!

Also, don't try random events, etc 'Suddenly, the town gets raided by savage bloodthirsy orks'

Only reply if you're RPing or have something useful to say.

And finally, you Can roleplay as a halfling, an elf, a human, a dwarf. Any civil huminoids in the Lord of the Rings universe. And finally, this is set four years before the Shire was attacked by the riders.

Oh, and use double brackets (( Like this )) to talk in OOC (Out of Charater)! ))

Warlcheese walked swiftly into the bar. His face bruised and his clothes slightly ripped, he walked up to the bar "Can I have a pint of bravis's best please?" he asked Jacos kindly.

He realised how empty the bar was and said "Is it normally this empty or is it just a bad day today?"

Jacos nods, as his first customer enters. "Geran, fetch this man a stool. Ah, a tankard of Bravis' best? You must be refering to our famous 'Blackroot Ale'. Yes, have you ever tried it? I don't believe I've seen you in town before, and few outside Bravis have ever had a drop. It has more 'kick' then most ales." Jacos told him.

Geran, the assistant had quickly pulled a bar stool over to the bar for Warl to sit on.

"Please, take a seat." Jacos said, pointing at the stool.

Jacos then filled a tankard with some ale, which was frothy, and smelled strange.

Jacos put the tankard on the bar counter, and pushed it towards Warl.

"I'm Jacos Farinas, the owner and bartender of this fine inn."

"Thank you good sir, nothing beats the taste of a frothy ice cold blackroot" Warlcheese exclaimed. He sat down on the hard wooden stool and took the hood off of his head. His face was unclean and cut severly in several places, his eyes black like a well of lost souls.

He was clearly a human with his round head and small ears. Something about him was just not right.

"You look like you've been in the wars." Jacos said, observing the many injuries and cuts.

"Nevermind. You know, if you need a room, I have a nice cosy room upstairs. Only 10 gold."

Jacos beckons his assistance away, and Geran walks upstairs.

(( I'm just calling the currency Gold, because in LotR, they never even say what the currency is :S ))

"I thank you for your hospitality, and yes you could say i have been in the wars, though i would rather not talk about it..." Warlcheese says in a soft tone. He turns his head and sips the ale, wipes the froth off of his dry lips and puts the tankard back onto the bar. "Those are some fine swords you have there, im assuming you can handle a sword as most of them have worn handles, no? Or are they just for decoration?"

"Handle a sword? Aye, I can. I used to be an adventurer, as you can see, I have many trophies. You see that sword up there?"

Jacos pointed at a fine silver sword, which a bronze handle. It looked very sharp and fearsome.

"I got that from a knight called 'Luzan Karis', he gave it to me as a gift, when I saved his ass. I wont go into the details..But lets just say he had a bad run in with a troll in a cave. I caught the ugly thing off guard. I jumped onto its back of a ledge, and cut its throat. It wasn't easy though. It took a few slices, the bloody things skin has hard to cut through, you see."

Jacos nodded.

"Enjoy your drink. Hold on." Jacos said, pouring himself a drink too.

"Here's to good health!" Jacos said, cheerfully, just before drinking some of his ale.

"To good health!".

They tapped their tankards together *CLINK* and drank some of the fine ale.
The man smiled and put his tankard back down, now half empty and asked Jacos "So about that room, I need to get cleaned up.. do you have a water supply here I could use if it wouldn't be too much trouble? These cuts and bruises need rest, you see."

"The room? Well, the bathroom is available to anybody renting a room. It has a bathtub, a fine one, and I can heat some water upstairs in a cauldron for the bath." Jacos replied, nodding.

"We also serve breakfast in the mornings, to people who are staying here. And, the drink will be one silver fourty copper."

"Thank you Jacos, here is your 10 gold, a silver and 40 coppers for the fine ale. I need some rest."

Warlcheese started to walk up the oak staircase. He hesitated for a moment and turned around.

"Jacos, if any men come looking for me, tell them you haven't seen the man if it wouldent be too much to ask..."

"Oh, hold on. I'll need to know your name, so I can sign you into the guest book. And don't worry about people coming looking for you, whilst you're in this inn, you are safe." Replied Jacos, smiling politely.

"And here's the key."

Jacos gives him the key.

He smiled and turned away walking towards the door of his rented room...

Jacos shrugged. Most of his patrons usually had second names. But he wrote Warlcheese's name down in the guest book.

Geran came walking from downstairs, holding a plain white parchment with some writing on it.

"Sir, I have the menu you asked me to write here." Geran said, quietly.

"Good, give it here." Jacos said, nodding.

"Ah, it looks good. Nail it to the wall, over here.." Jacos told him, beckoning at the wall near the counter.

After ten minutes, Geran had the menu nailed onto the wall. It read:

Jacos looks in one of the shelves, and takes some cheese and black bread off of it.

Jacos then passes the food to Elias.

"Say, do you have lodging for the night?"
